A bluebird chick died in the park.

The stairs to the attic crumbled from age.

The family dog could be heard barking from the ledge inside the flue.

All the stoplights downtown turned yellow in the same instant.

The glass at the back of the cabinet cracked.

A black rabbit ran from the garden.

Grandmothers spectacles went missing.

Grandmother went missing shortly after.

A man across town spilt his soup.

The crowd outside the theatre house suddenly disbanded.

The stain wouldn’t come out.

All was quiet for lunch.

It was Sunday evening.
