I've figured it out.
Humans are not moving at a faster pace than we did in years long past. Techknowlogy as done nothing to speed our pace, it only seems like we are moving faster and doing more in a single day because the world is spinning more slowly than it used to. True there are just as many hours in the day as before, all the clocks say so. But this is because the clocks are moving more slowly than they used to. Like those old fastioned clocks, they are actually moving faster than our own clocks today. Like a windable toy, this world started out spinning fast, but began to slow down, as the toy wound down once again into its dormant state. What will happen when the world slows down that drastically? We'd be able to live entire lifetimes in a single day. But we would blame it on techknowlogy and claim that it is humanity's pace that is responsible for such an occurence.
