Woods of Daft 5d~By Night Again~  
 
 Charlotte and Erik came forward and joined Daft by the door. Erik tried opening it, but even with the door unlocked it wouldn't budge.   "Is this bad?" Charlotte asked timidly, looking down to Daft, who would know more about the house than the siblings.   "This is more than bad," Daft replied tartly, turning around and inspecting the hallway with narrowed eyes. The house was quiet for a moment. Then sounds began erupting from every room, and shadowy figures faded into their vision.   "What?" Erik called, surprised that he could see the ghosts too. Woods of Daft 5c"What is it?!" Erik asked from below, his own panic spiking due to Charlotte's   "A…A g-ghost!" Charlotte managed to yell, her mouth very dry, "outside the window. Floating outside the window!"   Erik's response to this was so far from what Charlotte had been expecting, it nearly shocked her out of her own fear. "Don't be afraid, Charlotte, she wont hurt you," he called up comfortingly, "she can't even come inside the house because of the other spirits here." Shaking, Charlotte looked dumbstruck at the woman, still unnerved from horror. She was smiling warmly through the window, sympathetic almost, as if to say "I kno Woods of Daft 5c

The Woods of Daft part 5b~By Day~   
 Charlotte felt warm. Very warm. Too warm in fact. The sun seemed to fill the observatory from all sides, heating the air to a dry, arid consistency that made it hard to breath. Blinking, Charlotte stretched, twisting and yawning, waking up and shaking the soreness from her body.   It took her several movements to realize that she was on the floor. Her chair was gone. And that wasn't the only change within the small room. All the windows were either broken or cracked, the once smooth and flawless walls were caked and peeling, stained and spotted with mold.  Charlotte stood frozen with her hand still on the door handle, looking around her and listening quietly to the whisperings of an old house. Nothing jumped out at her, nothing moved, the house didn't even creak, it just sat there getting older before her very eyes. She took her hand off the door handle. Then a hissing sound erupted from out of nowhere all throughout the dank house, making her jump. Okkay, so NaNoWriMo is still going on. I'm about 3/5 of the way through the word count and 2/3 of the way through the month...right...

I updated the Woods of Daft...yay

And Yuumei's contest closes tomorrow I think. So I'm gunna not mention it again, though you all know what you should go and read by now.

Hey, look, it's the real point of this journal!
So I have been writing essays, as college teachers make you do, and I actually enjoy a good two or three of them. So my question is, do you guys care enough at all to read about my thoughts and interpretations on English poetry and American literature? Because those are the ones I'm happiest about. An explication paper on one of Chaucer's poems, and an overview of humor, satire, and all that jazz in early American literature.
So, tell me what you think, and I might respond accordingly!
